Overview

The Waterloo Regional Kart Club needed a website their volunteer executive team could manage on their own. We built a feature-rich WordPress site on Elementor Pro that handles everything from race schedules and points standings to a member classifieds marketplace, then trained the team to run it independently.

The Challenge

WRKC is a volunteer-run racing club that promotes 4-cycle kart racing at Flamboro Speedway. They needed a site that could handle a full race season schedule, publish results and championship points, showcase sponsors, and let members buy and sell equipment. Most importantly, it had to be manageable by non-technical volunteers without calling a developer for every update.

Our Solution

We designed and built the site on WordPress with Elementor Pro so the executive team can edit pages visually. We built a member portal with user registration and a classifieds marketplace where members can log in, post karts and parts for sale, and manage their own listings. We also added contact forms with newsletter subscribers pushed directly to Mailchimp. We handle their hosting, security, and ongoing maintenance, and provide hands-on WordPress training when needed so the club can handle day-to-day content updates on their own.

Results

The club now has a professional online presence that their volunteer team manages independently. Race schedules, results, points standings, classifieds, and sponsor pages are all kept current by club executives without developer involvement. The site serves as the central hub for their racing community, from new member onboarding through to end-of-season standings.
